• AOMS Jack Jain performs in the All-State Band

AOMS eighth grade student Jack Jain was selected to play in the All-State Band, which performed at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts on Feb 26. He plays the Bass Clarinet, and was honored to be first chair in the group of four bass clarinets in his middle school group.

"I am very proud of Jack,” said Katie Browne, Director of Bands at AOMS. “He is a talented and hard-working musician, and he represented our school well at the All-State Band performance.”

Jack started in the AOMS Band in 6th grade, so this is his third year in band.

In order to be chosen to play in the All-State Band students must send in a recorded audition tape in December. Over 1,900 talented musicians in middle and high school auditioned for the honor. A total of 870 students were selected. All-State Band musicians attended rehearsals all day during the CASMEC (CA Music Educator's Conference) from February 16 to 19th in San Jose, CA.
