Construction Management


Construction Management and FMP


The Facilities and Construction Management Department is the overall planning, coordinating and control of a project from beginning to completion. The Department seeks to produce a functionally and financially viable project for the District through the use of architectural design, institutional design, engineering design, environmental design and planning.


The function of the Construction Management division includes the following:


- Specifying project objectives and plans including delineation of scope, budgeting, scheduling, setting performance requirements, and selecting project participants.


- Maximizing the resource efficiency through procurement of labor, materials and equipment.


- Implementing various operations through proper coordination and control of planning, design, estimating, contracting and construction in the entire process.


- Developing effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts

Facility Master Plan

The District is presently in the fourth year of the current five year Master Facility Plan. Staff is in the early stages of organizing the next five year Facility Master Plan.



District Staff along with Rachlin Architects and Erickson Hall Construction are in the early design steps of the CAC Modernization (to address the code compliant issues only) and Lancer Re-roof projects. We are looking to reach a preliminary GMP in December 2017 and a Final GMP in June 2018.
